“The students chose the name Ponderland and many of them have commented that the project has provided a space to relax and think." (Alice Lobb, arts depot’s visual arts officer.) The Cast slabs hold the gravel in a spiral pattern, echoing the flow of water and the meditative practices of Zen monks with their gravel rakes. Northgate school caters for youngsters living as in-patients in the hospital and the New Beginning Crisis Recovery Unit. Made with the assitance of artist Andrea Tyrimos.
